Hovering Octothorpes (2007)
Look at this op art picture for a while, what do you notice? The square-like greenish patterns (hashtags, aka octothorpes) seem to slightly float and move over the dark background. Most of the people believe there are two or three different kinds of symbols, but in fact there are all the same shape and size. The ‘floating’ hashtags look different, because the regularity of their contour is perturbed by the blue background.
